Goblin Market is Done… Now What?

So, if you were hanging around over the weekend, you discovered that I finally finished podcasting Goblin Market Saturday night. Lament and woe, but have no fear. This is not the end of Goblin Market, for there will be more, exciting Goblin Markety goodness in the near future.
“Whatchou talking about, Willis?” you ask.
Well, I mentioned this a couple weeks ago, but wanted to mention it again in case you missed it. I am currently editing the draft of Goblin Market that was podcasted. I will be going through, cleaning it up nice and pretty, then I will be sending it out to a handful of amazing people to get some editorial feedback. Once I get the feedback, I will go over it one last time, make final edits and changes and then the process of formatting for Amazon and Smashwords will begin. After the novel is all sparkly and formatted, I will upload and begin selling it for eReaders.
I am also re-recording those epically bad first seven episodes. In fact… Episode One is already polished up and ready to go. Once I get this ID Tag and formatting stuff for Podiobooks taken care of, I will re-release Episode One and move on to Episode Two. After the first five are complete, I will be submitting to Podiobooks in hopes of reaching an even wider audience.
I also took an hour this morning to update the Goblin Market page with audio archives and some press from around the ‘net about Goblin Market, including reviews and interviews. If you have a review of Goblin Market on your website, please email me and let me know. I will gladly post it on the page with a link back to your site.
There is a part of me that longs desperately to see this novel in print, but at this time I’m not sure how to go about shopping it around because I’ve already presented it in podcast form. I have faith, however that over time the universe will guide me in the right direction. For now, I am going to keep doing what I’ve been doing on my own, sleeping easier at night because the fate of my work is in my own hands.
I also announced yesterday that the sequel to Goblin Market, Jack in the Green, will begin as a podcast this summer. I am shooting for July, and have already been working hard on editing the intro. Perhaps if time permits, I will get the intro recorded shortly, and into your earbuds for a preview. I will be doing a promo very soon, putting it up and asking everyone with a podcast to share and spread the news when they can.
Finally, I really do want to thank everyone who stuck by me through this whole podcasting experiment. It wasn’t always timely, or easy. The sound quality hasn’t always been the best, but many have told me the story itself was compelling enough to keep you all by my side.
That is incredibly humbling. Thank you for believing in me, and offering your support. I wish I could hug you all, but that would be uncomfortable for the people who don’t know me in a very Seinfeldian way.

About the Author:

Haven’t listen to the last ep yet… looking forward to it! Love the title of the follow up, and the cover art is very intriguing.
I know I keep saying it, but I’ll say it again. I’m proud of you. You’ve accomplished a lot in the past year, and you should be proud of yourself. There’s no stopping you now. The sky is the limit. And I think you’ll see Goblin Market published one day through a publisher. I strongly feel it will work out.
How about you just do the, “Shut up!” shove instead?
I look forward to the sequel. I would really like to sit down and read Goblin Market to add to the flavor of the story. Print publish, forward ho!
There are a few podcast friendly publishers, Dragon Monn Press being the most obvious example. I would still shop it around, you have shown you can build and maintain an audience!
@Patrick: don’t call Jenny a ho!
