Life is Life–La La La La La

For those of you who wondered if I was eaten by JAWS (in 3-D, no less,) or thought maybe I didn’t care about you anymore, well you just swallow those lies before you even tell them to yourself. 1. Jaws would never eat me… I’m too bitter, and 2. If I didn’t care about you, I wouldn’t be here right now, would I?
Life has been incredibly busy. Since James and I launched PopArmy.com, I’ve been juggling everything between work, Pop Army and KidWonderful, and it hasn’t been easy. On the other hand, it’s been incredibly rewarding on an emotional level, so yay for that.
Right now on both sites we’re doing two awesome giveaways I wanted to share with you, since many of you may not know how to follow PopArmy and KidWonderful on Facebook and Twitter, or you just plain missed the memo.
On KidWonderful right now, we are hosting a month-long giveaway. It launched September 1 and will close September 30. In the spirit of impending Halloween, we are giving away a $75 Monster High prize pack! These dolls and toys are incredibly cool, especially if you happen to be a big fan of horror and the genre.
Monday we launched our first ever giveaway on PopArmy. Since True Blood season three is winding to a close this coming Sunday, we thought we might help you through the long, cold, True-Bloodless winter with your choice of season one or season two on DVD. All the writers pooled their cash so we could do this giveaway, so if you enter make sure you give them mad props for being such awesome people!
In other news, we’re still accepting submissions for Farrago: The Michael Bekemeyer Project until September 21. So get them in now.
As for fiction writing… I’m still doing it, though only slowly and occasionally as it’s hard to find time right now while we push ourselves to make these two sites we’ve created succeed. But what about the fiction? Does it still matter? Where’s Jack in the Green? Why aren’t you podcasting? WTF, Beans, WTF? Calm down. I’m not going anywhere and I’m still working on things, but with our visa appointments and wedding plans looming closer than ever, earning is my top priority right now. As sad as it makes me, I am not earning from my fiction, though try as I might. So i have to explore other alternatives for now and hope that in the meantime people will continue to spread the word about my work, and others will seek it out.
I hope wherever you are right now, whatever it is you’re doing, you’re happy and content because that’s all that matters.

Isn’t that weird. So do I.
I’ve had a heck of a time making my rounds too. Getting the kids back to school has helped immeasurably. I’m also taking more time with my non fiction writing, that for me is my priority, along with Tribal Blogs, my own blog will probably suffer for it in the short run but this is something I have to do. Best wishes to you in all your many online ventures and I will be sure to check out poparmy even though cold blood or whatever it is called has not been watched by me. I have yet to make time to watch any tv except for The Big Bang Theory.

You know, just yesterday I was saying to Mike “WTF, Beans, WTF!” but it was because…well, just because.
I haven’t had a chance to check out PopArmy yet, but I have been visiting KidWonderful and I think you’re doing a great job!
