The Official Goblin Market Re-Launch

During the process of fine tuning Jack in the Green for publication and holding the KickStarter Campaign to raise funds for the cover for Jack in the Green, I connected with an amazing artist who was interested in creating a new cover for The Goblin Market. This couldn’t have happened at a better time because as much as I loved the original podcast and eBook cover, it did not translate well to print. The images were no longer available from the place I purchased them, so I was stuck between a bit of a rock and a hard place when it came time to create a print edition.
Now it’s been just a little over six months since I originally released The Goblin Market in eBook format, and through the process it’s had some serious ups and downs. It was definitely a learning experience, and at times that experience has been a tad bit discouraging. Self-publishing is a lot of work, but it’s my work and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Over the last few months I’ve gotten both positive and negative feedback, and I’ve been grateful for it all. For the most part, people really seem to like the story, and that makes me happy. On the other hand there was about a month in which I sold a lot of copies that had bad Kindle formatting and that understandably bothered a lot of people. I apologize for those early copies with the crappy formatting. But what I’d like to apologize for even more is the hundreds of copies sold shortly after the crappy formatting with the grammar and spelling mistakes.
After I got wind of the bad formatting, I sent the novel back over to my wonderful husband for formatting. What I didn’t realize when I hit send was that I’d sent him and OLD version. The oldest version I had on my hard drive, which unfortunately had not been edited. Neither of us even realized it was the old version until it was too late and several hundred copies were sold. Talk about embarrassing!
Needless to say, about two months ago we fixed the issue, reformatted and reuploaded the clean copy and even tacked on a sample of the upcoming sequel, Jack in the Green. The brand new cover has now been added to the eBook and I reinstated the original $2.99 price.
If you haven’t had a chance to check out The Goblin Market, I hope you’ll give it a read. If you just so happened to be one of those unfortunate few who had their reading experience ruined by bad formatting or early draft errors after the second upload, I urge you to contact me via email (jennybeanses@gmail.com) and I will gladly send you a new version of the book in the format of your choice absolutely free!
I hope you’ll also help me spread the word about the relaunch! I’d love to gather more readers before I launch the sequel, Jack in the Green, which is coming very soon!
The Goblin Market is available for $2.99 on Amazon, Amazon UK, Barnes & Noble and Smashwords! The cover is updated, but the new $2.99 price has yet to go into effect. If you hurry, you can probably still snag it for $.99!

I purchased your book to review and ended up putting it away for a later date. I’m glad I got to read this blog because now I will simply get the updated version to start with instead!
You can thank Michael Hicks for his BookNooz Paper.Li Paper, because that’s where I found the link about the re-launch!
As for the book cover, I have to say, it’s a shame you couldn’t continue on with the original cover – it’s actually what made me stop, look, and buy the first time around. I think this cover, while lovely, reminds me too much of a children’s book, (for very young children) and I only say that because I recently had a request to do a children’s book review with a very similar looking cover. So, please, don’t take that comment to heart! It’s just a familiarity thing.
The cover for Jack in the Green is really cool though! I’m loving that one! I’m look forward to reading the new edition of The Goblin Market and I will let you know when I get a review done.
